Chief Executive Officer

Our client forms part of an important environmental initiative. They are currently seeking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer to join their team.

 

Whilst reporting to the Chairperson and Board of Directors, the CEO will be managing the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure that targets are being met, whilst operating at the lowest possible cost and highest possible consumer/stakeholder satisfaction.

 

The CEO further acts as the primary spokesperson of the company and drives the communication and educational campaigns of the organisation.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Execute policy and strategy in line with the vision of the board of directors;
  • Organise board meetings and report to the board of directors monthly and keep them informed on progress against execution of strategy and achievement of goals;
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the company;
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing;
  • Oversee cash-flow position and cashflow projections of the company;
  • Oversee provision of customer care and help desk services;
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations;
  • The preparation of monthly management reports and presentation to the board;
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company; and,
  • Actively liaising with diverse set of stakeholders, including Government Authorities.

 

The ideal candidate must have:

 

  • A tertiary level of Education;
  • At least three years of experience in a senior role preferably in operations management or related experience in managing a company, experience in FMCG and/or manufacturing will be considered a plus;
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to interpret numerical data and excellent negotiation skills;
  • Conversant in preparing Business Plans and Financial Projections;
  • Experience owning the P&L of a business, setting and following budgets;
  • Political Acumen; and,
  • Excellent presentation skills. Sound written and verbal communication in both Maltese and English.
