An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the Finance team at BMIT, a leading provider of technology solutions located in Smart City, Kalkara. This role offers a hybrid working environment, combining both office and remote work.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Manager will undertake the following responsibilities:

 

• Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as accounts payables and accounts receivables;
• Preparing detailed monthly financial reports and showcasing the financial performance of the Group, including variance analysis with budgets;
• Ensuring the accurate preparation of half-yearly and year-end accounts in compliance with regulations;
• Coordinating work during the month-end and audit process to adhere to deadlines;
• Preparing financial reports, analysis, and presentations as needed to aid management in strategic decision-making;
• Managing cash flow and working capital requirements efficiently;
• Assisting in the preparation of the group budget and monitoring performance against the budget on an ongoing basis;
• Compiling and submitting timely and accurate tax submissions;
• Liaising and communicating with auditors, financial institutions, and other consultants on various financial matters; and,
• Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place and adhered to, along with suggesting any changes for improvement.

 

The ideal candidate must have:

 

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the field;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is advantageous; and,
• Being a fully qualified Accountant will be considered an asset.

 

A mature, professional individual able to multi-task, work under pressure, prioritize workload, and adhere to deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude is ideal for this position together with a pleasant personality with the ability to work both individually and within a team with minimal supervision.
