Internal Auditor –Flexible Hours

Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of varies food products. They are known for their freshly made bread and baked goods. They are currently seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor to help them improve the group of companies’ internal control structure.

 

The ideal candidate will be helping the Executive Management and will be responsible for:

• Designing and delivering financial and operating audit programs;
• Addressing relevant risk or audit assertions;
• Communicating audit findings in a timely manner;
• Preparing audit reports to document audit scope, procedures and findings;
• Working closely with the control management to drive and implement action plans;
• Assisting with the conduct of specific investigations including those related to fraudulent cases;
• Interpreting and concluding audit findings as well as making practical recommendations;
• Managing work requirements and budgeting to meet assigned initiatives;
• Assessing new projects or changes to identify any operational or financial risks before launching.
• Communicating effectively with the owners and other non-finance individuals for an effective control environment; and,
• Conducting ad-hoc tasks as requested.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;

• Two years of work experience in an internal audit environment;
• Experience in designing/testing/implementing internal controls and reviewing business processes;
• Experience in drafting policies and procedures;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and,
• Excellent communication in Maltese and English.

 

An organized person with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills is ideal for this position. Remarkable presentation and reporting skills are essential for this role. The ideal person must be able to thrive in a team-orientated environment.

 

This role allows for flexible working options including hybrid working.
