IT Applications Support Specialist

Our client is a unique, international air cargo company in the handling air and ground logistics as well as aviation services. They are currently seeking to recruit an IT Applications Support Specialist to join their team.

 

The chosen applicant will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email and performs remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and relevant questions.

 

The main objective is to:

  • Be the first line support to solve application issues whilst finding the best solutions based on the issue and the details received by the customers;
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel;
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs;
  • Follow up and update customer status and information;
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team;
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures;
  • End to End support in solutions involving developments; and,
  • Help and provides support to PM team in development projects (QA, testing, end users’ trainings).

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Minimum of one year of proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position;
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills;
  • In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks; and,
  • Knowledge in web-based platform projects is a must and knowledge in Priority ERP which is an advantage.

 

The selected candidate must be able to show excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English including writing, reading and speaking whilst having outstanding organizational and time management skills.
