Manager (Finance and Procurement)

Our client is a growing government agency in Malta that offers a diverse array of different products and services. They are currently seeking to recruit a Manager (Finance and Procurement) to join their team.

 

The chosen candidate will be responsible for various finance and procurement activities whilst reporting directly to the Head (Finance and Procurement).

 

Such responsibilities include:

 

  • Compiling and analysing financial information for the preparation of financial statements;
  • Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met;
  • Monitoring the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures;
  • Ensuring that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner;
  • Preparing payment schedules;
  • Monitoring cash flow;
  • Ensuring continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities;
  • Managing all stages throughout the public procurement cycle including the preparation of procurement documents;
  • Effecting detailed vetting of procurement documents; and,
  • Managing all the necessary processes for the publication of the calls for tenders/Call for Quotations.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • An MQF Level 6 qualification in Accountancy or Finance, plus a minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience in finance and procurement; or
  • An MQF Level 5 qualification in Accountancy or Finance, plus a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in finance and procurement; and,
  • Proficiency in the Maltese and English languages.

The chosen applicant must possess flexibility and be able to quickly and effectively adapt to the various new needs that the Agency may have.
