Our client Baxter is a multi-international healthcare company. They focus primarily on creating products to treat certain diseases. They are currently searching for a Planner, Supply Chain to join their team.
The chosen applicant will be:
• Coordinating the local planning activities with all departments, working closely with the Manufacturing, Warehousing Teams & Regional Network Planners ensuring high level capacity plans are translated into workable production programs, inventory projections are reviewed to ensure a seamless supply of product to the customer;
• Delivery to Manufacturing a programme aligned to capacity;
• Coordinating and managing the stock levels/inventory of the manufactured and raw material products in an onsite and offsite warehouse;
• Proactively communicating and managing any gaps in or risk to supply;
• Responsible for the export of product to other Global plants;
• Utilizing and correctly applying all of the standard supply chain tools and processes;
• Reviewing the raw material pipeline and ensuring supply is aligned to the manufacturing capacity;
• Utilizing pipeline management tools and ERP’s to control and analyze pipelines;
• Using their experience to define solutions/recommendations to sole issues;
• Proactively communicating any potential and known supply risks to internal stakeholders, taking ownership and accountability for managing effective communication and escalating when needed;
• Aligning and communicating with drivers and distribution centers to ensure efficient delivery of products;
• Obtaining, checking, and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with other countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes;
• Organizing transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary;
• Monitoring quality control and keeping warehouse capacity at optimal levels;
• Actively participating in Baxter Toer Boards and reporting KPIs at various levels; and,
• Owning and managing the supply chain elements with the change movement (change control) ERP Trackwise 8.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Ability to influence the team through clear fact-based communication;
• Confident feeling in pushing back on other functions and highlighting issues that could impact them;
• Simplifying the complex in every aspect of their work;
• Good organizational and planning skills;
• Showing clear potential for development into point of contact for Liverpool site planning;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs especially Excel;
• Knowledge in the sound industry;
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances;
• Problem solving ability, particularly when working under pressure;
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems;
• Capability of working under pressure and to deadlines;
• Strong supply chain planning, logistics and manufacturing background;
• APICS certification would be an advantage;
• Supply chain ERP knowledge of Rapid Response, JDE, SAP or equivalent;
• Experience in healthcare Manufacturing or similar fast-moving goods is advantageous;
• Understanding of 6S / Lean / Six Sigma; and,
• Related working experience such as Planning, Logistics and Warehousing.
