Quantity Surveyor

Evolve by RS Group, is one of Malta’s leading property finishes companies being involved in an array of local projects, both in the private and public sectors. Evolve by RS Group has established itself over the past years to provide quality finishes to the construction industry, having a portfolio of prominent clients around the Maltese Islands. They are currently searching to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

 

 

The ideal candidate will be the main point of contact between clients and the Site Mangers/Engineers will be responsible for:

 

  • Setting and updating budgets for payments, inventory needs and materials;
  • Preparing documentations and contracts;
  • Tracking changes in plans or construction;
  • Hiring contractors and sub-contractors;
  • Preparing payments for contractors and sub-contractors;
  • Analysing costs for maintenance and additional building needs;
  • Stock controlling of construction materials and inventory;
  • Ensuring there are no potential financial or construction risks;
  • Documenting progress, materials and reporting on projects;
  • Sourcing maintenance costs and facilities management for clients; and,
  • Analysing completed projects to determine Return on Investment and compare costs.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in general construction estimating or related field;
  • An understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry exposure;
  • Ability to analyse financial records and apply data to improve results;
  • Experience in compiling and following strict budgets;
  • Strong estimating and financial analysis skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; and,
  • Good communication skills in English.

 

Previous working experience in Malta is essential for this role. A strong aptitude for numbers and a problem-solving mindset are essential for this position.
