Retail Area Manager

Our client, Daves Food Stores, is currently seeking to recruit a Retail Area Manager in order to sustain their growth.


The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Training and motivating employees and evaluating their performance;
  2. Overseeing the weekly roster, in line with budgets set;
  3. Understanding people’s potential and developing individual and organisational effectiveness;
  4. Actively participating and intervening in company meetings;
  5. Ensuring that its delegated collaborators reach and respect certain parameters: objectives, processes, procedures, requests, standards, internal regulations; and,
  6. Focusing on a vision of the future through daily actions and transmitting the company’s values.


The ideal candidate must:

  • Have at least two years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry;
  • Have experience of leading a team;
  • Have knowledge of e-shop and PDA software, which will be considered as an asset; and,
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills in English.


The ideal candidate must be organised, have excellent problem-solving skills and can work on his/her own initiative. S/he must be able to plan and deal with unexpected changes on a day-to-day basis and must be able to work with tight deadlines.
