Sales Engineer

AFS Ltd is a market leader in providing a solution approach to water handling products and services and is currently seeking to recruit a Sales Engineer to join their team. This position is being offered on a full-time basis. 

The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing new and maintaining existing business relations with clients;
  • Co-ordinating of sales of water pumps, pipe systems and the latest hydraulic technologies to specific projects;
  • Preparing of sales proposals and quotations to meet clients’ needs;
  • Providing cost effective solutions;
  • Communicating Product Life Cycle Cost with consultant engineers and end-users;
  • Liaising with the aftermarket department; and,
  • Meeting sales budgets.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have good written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English;
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications;
  • Have technical qualifications with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans;
  • Have knowledge of pumps, pipework, building services and domestic installations, which will be considered an asset; and,
  • Have previous experience in a sales position, preferably in a similar sector.


The ideal candidate must be organised, motivated, have excellent problem-solving skills and can work on his/her own initiative with minimal supervision. S/he must be able to plan and deal with unexpected changes on a day-to-day basis and must be able to work with tight deadlines.
