Head of Engineering and Maintenance

Our client is a Swiss company with presence in Malta, operating within the pharmaceutical industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Head of Engineering and Maintenance.

 

The selected candidate will be:

  • Leading the Maintenance, Engineering and HSE sections;
  • Overseeing the external (contracting) workforce;
  • Keeping abreast of and following all current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP) rules as explained in the relevant Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Reporting any deviations from SOPs/processes and cGMP rules;
  • Actively participating in training sessions (receiving and delivering);
  • Maintaining good communication levels with staff in other departments; and,
  • Working according to quality standards and policies of the Company, cGMP regulations, HSE regulations and other local authorities’ requirements.

 

 The ideal candidate will be a qualified and warranted Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical industries. S/he will have good command of written and spoken English and preferably also Maltese. The chosen individual will be able to create, develop and implement strategies for efficient and cost-effective management of allocated resources. S/he will have experience in implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost-effective management of allocated resources.

 

This opportunity calls for a candidate who is result oriented and service minded with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, duties and assignments. S/he will be able to provide professional leadership and direction to subordinate personnel.
