Warehouse Assistant Manager – Safety & Maintenance

Our client, a supermarket operating in Malta, is currently seeking to recruit a Warehouse Assistant Manager Safety & Maintenance in order to sustain their growth.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the upkeep of all electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems in the warehouse and goods handling equipment, including coordination of prevent maintenance and ad-hoc repairs;

• Ensuring full functionality of emergency and fire systems at all times;
• Coordinating contractors and external suppliers for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities;
• Taking care of the cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse, including returns area and recycling initiatives;
• Ensuring sufficient essential replacement parts for the technical equipment; and,
• Establishing and maintaining an efficient team of people and safeguarding a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have working experience gained in building or mechanical facility management;
• Have experience in management and negotiations with external suppliers;
• Have a technical background;
• Have good written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian.

 

The ideal candidate must be organised and must be able to coordinate and communicate well with others.  S/he must be well-mannered and have a good customer-oriented approach.  Candidates who are confident, enthusiastic and well-presented are encouraged to apply.
