This qualification is suitable for anyone who works in the HR field, aspiring to study the field of HR.

EQF/MQF Level 5 Award in HR Administration: Policies, Procedures, Onboarding, Induction and Payroll (11 ECTS)

This course is aimed at introducing students to the administrative side of Human Resources. It also goes through the importance of policies and procedures, and creates guidelines for an organisation to enhance the employer and employee relationship in setting and maintaining acceptable norms to behaviour at work. This module also introduces learners to the initial engagement processes of an employee within a company. It first goes into the onboarding stages of an employee and then tackles the induction phase. The process of connecting the new employee to the company’s culture, process and creating a successful emotional integration will be explored. This is then followed by an introduction of the job and organisation as part of the induction process.  Additionally, this module is aimed at learners to gain knowledge on principles of payroll and related employment law and data privacy implications. Learners will be taught on how to apply their knowledge in practise by being shown how to successfully adhere to payroll requirements under employment law. Also, with being competent to recognise any issues that may arise in the payroll process, how to tackle in and what related legislation may apply accordingly.

Entry Requirements:

  • A minimum of one of the following:
    A qualification in Human resources or similar at minimum level 4 (level 5 also considered), as well as an O level standard of English
    Level 4 certificate in Education, as well as an O level standard of English
    MATSEC certificate, as well as an O level standard of English
    International applicants are to have an O level standard of English or equivalent. A proficiency test of the same standard would suffice

This list is the minimum required qualifications – it does not exclude any qualification of a higher level. misco Business Academy will also consider RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). Any applicant that already has some form of qualifications, at the same level of higher, can apply for the RPL and be exempt from certain units (terms and conditions will apply).
